dark knight epic fail

well. we all tried to go see dark knight friday afternoon. michael even went with me to the theater at around 1ish to get the tickets for greg, john, and us.

.. and bad things just happen!

family dispute that invovled me but didn't involve me made me tentative to go back. but i had no cash on me. so michael had to pay upfront for us and man, he just BARELY had exactly $27 on him. then when i tried to call greg a bajillion times he didn't pick up and i started thinking he was pissed at me, but i wasn't sure if he knew. so i ended up meeting with michael at 2:50ish and sent him to the movie theater alone because i needed to find greg. john was sailing and so he ended up not even going! ): and actually between buying the tix and actually going i went home and tried to eat lunch but family dispuet sorta got in the way. so i biked down to phi psi on an empty stomach to dig up greggo and he ended up not being upset with me (oh gosh. if he were it would have been catastrophic.. i was super mad by that time) and we had to run back up to make the movie. michael calls and well, he's a good boy and he listens to me and he sold john's ticket so we didn't lose out on $6 bucks. anyway i bike up and greg tries to take the shuttle, but the shuttle fails and greg ends up running/jogging/walking the whole way. and yeah we started watching the movie!

and that part was great. (: the movie. wowee. it was such a rollercoaster.

then at this part where the joker starts fooling around with the electricity in the scene, our power actually DOES go out. dang it. and the power STAYED out. man. that super sucked because we had to then wait almost an hour to get our vouchers and now we have to fight the crowd yet AGAIN to get into the movie for good seats. a lot of us didn't want to sit through another two hours of the movie b/c it's just too much to handle y'know? but now that it has all subsided and we recooped, i think we can handle it...

so we tried to go again this morning at 11:20. but of course. do i ever wake up? uh. no. never

well actually i did. but uh. still got there too late. poor john. he was waiting, when i thought he was just goinna go in. so epic fail-- all the good seats were taken and even the cashier told us, ppl are returning their tix because all the good seats were taken. man people are so hardcore.

so now, none of us have seen the last thirty minutes of the movie yet. (worst movie ever to have a power outtage in the middle of, if it were any other movie-- except wall-e-- i wouldn't even care!) and now we're banking on meeting up on tuesday night or something..

dark knight is definitely going to set the record for the most watched in one weekend. i feel sad and sorry for heath ledger, he should have been here to see it. oh but i feel pretty bad for katie holmes. what in the world was she thinking?! going to do a sucker like "mad money" instead of dark knight? she's probably hitting herself in the head repeatedly now b/c maggie (oh she's such a cutie!) is totally geting tons of press.

anyway. after the disappointment of not seeing dark knight (sorry again john!), greg and i decided to walk around evanston a little and well, lucky for us there was this hardcore bike race going on. so-- there was also a lot of free stuff :P we got samples of jamba juice and whole foods stuff like organic bananas, crackers, energy bars and energy drinks without caffeine. There were lots of water bottles being given out but i didn't take any cuz they all looked pretty cheap and chemical releasing to me. and then i filled out this survey about how much i exercise (heh. never) and i got a free two-in-one clock and photo frame! i'm excited. (:

the race was pretty exciting, man they go SOO fast. when they started the women's race, this one biker was sooo ahead of the group that for safety reasons, they just let her out and announced her as the winner. that sucks for so many reasons! 1) she didn't get to finish the race-- well understandably for safety reasons, 2) she won, but man, she was just getting started! she doesn't even have a winning time to have on record. 3) all the other bikers must have felt bad that they just started the race yet, they already lost.

well. i'm sure she still felt pretty accomplished. and the other gals still sped along anyway. so what am i harping about? i'm not sure either. maybe just teenage angst. i have a lot of that lately...

btw i realize with my lack of doing any writing for two years, i really suck at it now. like, i always knew i wasn't very good. but man. i'm definitely jacking up grammar and spelling and it's pretty much destined, the day i make an eloquent post-- well no need to think about that... it just won't happen. heh. :P
